A LETTER MANY OF US WERE
NEVER TAUGHT TO WRITE
How strange that we celebrate life, yet rarely speak about the gateway
through which life arrives.
How strange that we depend on a part of the body for our existence,
yet so many of us grow up knowing so little about it.
Not because it is insignificant.
Perhaps because it has always carried more meaning
than we knew how to hold.
